Basic Internal Corrosion Of Pipeline

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide participants with the fundamentals of implementing, monitoring, and maintaining an internal corrosion control program as part of an overall Pipeline Integrity Management program. This course is focusing on internal corrosion of liquid and natural gas pipelines used for transmissions, storage, and gathering systems. The course combines lecture, hands-on field testing and case studies.

 

TRAINING METHODOLOGY:

  • Class exercise. Field example for assessing corrosion and performance of the complete analysis regarding: Assessment, Control, Types of Corrosion, Chemical Treatment, etc.
  • Discussion of exercise.
  • This course will be conducted as a highly interactive work session, encouraging participants to share their own experiences and apply the course material to real-life situations. Case studies from different industries will be investigated. Each delegate will receive an extensive reference manual, as well as case studies, while worked out solutions will be handed out to the delegates on conclusion of group discussions.

 

  • To ensure the concepts introduced during the course are understood, they will be reinforced through a mix of learning methods, including lecture style presentation, open discussion, case studies, simulations and group work.
